DetailsBooking:
When you first book your session, we will decide on a location. Almost any setting can be a photographic opportunity and I am open to hear your suggestions. We will discuss your personal style, tastes and what type of images you are looking for. We should decide before hand whether you desire a modern or more traditional feel to your images. Please notify me within 48 hours if you need to reschedule.
Session atmosphere:
During your session, I will take some time to get to know your family, especially your child and make them feel comfortable. Please don’t tell your child to smile. If I'm only photographing your child, I want to get a real smile, not just a posed one. I may even have to ask parents to back away a bit, so the child won’t be worried about what mom or dad is thinking or wanting them to do. Please do not bring your camera or video camera to a session.
Clothing:
When you arrive at your session, please have you child dressed and ready to be photographed. If you are concerned about clothing getting dirty or wrinkled before you arrive, then please arrive before your session is scheduled to allow time to change. There are no rules on what to wear, but here are some suggestions: For groups it is nice to have coordinating clothing, not necessarily “matchy” but colors that are from the same family, tone or at least compliment each other. Extremely busy patterns should be avoided. You don’t want the clothing to distract from your subject. I strongly recommend staying away from logos, cartoon characters, but graphic tees can be fun on boys. Dress to reflect your style, but our man focus is you, your family or your child. Barefeet are recommended for most infant and children's shots. For newborns, the naked shots are what I prefer most. For more information on clothing see Photographing Tips.
View Proofs:
About 1-2 weeks after your session, you can view your images by clicking on "Client Proofs" on the website menu which will take you to your Galleries to view your images or you may go directly to LizRhodesPhoto.nextstep.com and click on your gallery there. Please place your order within 30 days.
Custom orders:
After you have viewed your proofs, you can order online or through me personally. If you choose to purchase a collage, story board or custom card, I will arrange a time to consult with you about the design layout, text and photo choices.
Copyrights:
Elizabeth Rhodes retains the copyright to all images. It is illegal to scan, copy or reproduce my images in any manner. I thank you for respecting my artistic property. I also reserve the right to use images for personal advertisement, web, publication and display.
Payment:
Orders should be placed within 30 days. Online galleries will remain viewable for up to 60 days. All images are archived and stored on DVD after the 60 day time period. Please allow up to 4 weeks to receive your order. Custom orders and books may take up to 8 weeks. At this time, Elizabeth Rhodes accepts cash, check or Credit Card & PayPal (via the web). Session fees are due at the time of the shoot. For large portrait orders, a small deposit may be required when the order is placed. All sales are final.

Portrait Photography Information
As part of every package a planning session is included where we will discuss your Portrait Session from start to finish. This helps me, so that I am able to capture the exact details that are important to you and your family. If you want a certain image captured we will do everything possible to capture it. I prefer to create a relaxed, natural atmosphere for my clients. I let the day flow at its natural pace with no demands. During your session, I will take some time to get to know you and your children and make them feel comfortable. Families are encouraged to laugh, talk, and behave as they would normally. Children are not given boundaries, but instead are encouraged to explore, imagine, and play. This ideology often results in more personalized images which are true to each person’s character and are far more sincere. My goal is that each of my clients will cherish these images for years to come.
Following your session your photographs will be available on my website 2 weeks after your Portrait Session, where you and your family and friends can view and purchase prints. And, in the mean time I will need about 4 weeks for your Proofbook (if you’ve purchased proofs or if they came with your order). My commitment does not end here, after you have had a chance to look at your proofs we will discuss the design of your Session Album or StoryBoard / Collage (if you’ve purchased an album or StoryBoard).
~ Wedding Photography Information ~
My wedding coverage is very simple and thorough. All of my packages
include full wedding coverage from the pre-ceremony to the end of the
reception. My packages start at 4 hours of coverage and depending on the wedding, I may have two
photographers photographing the wedding. For a large wedding, I think that anyone who tries to cover something as
dynamic and unpredictable as a wedding with only one photographer is
doing a disservice to the Bride and Groom and their families.
I will be with you thorough out the whole planning process. As part of
every package a planning session is included where I will discuss
your entire day from start to finish. This helps me, so that I am
able to capture the exact details that are important to you and your
family.
I may use a second photographer when covering a wedding. A second
photographer will allow another point of view on your wedding and will
be able to capture moments when one is shooting with the bride and
groom and the other with the family. There is always something going on
at a wedding and one photographer just cannot capture it all for a larger wedding.

most natural way possible. Wedding photography does not have to lack of
originality or distinction. Every Wedding is unique and I strive to
document each event with that in mind. Picture by picture, I will

certain moment captured I will do everything possible to capture it.

here, after you have had a chance to look at your proofs I will
discuss the design of your Memory Album, if desired.
What is a Wedding Day typically like for Photography?
I let the day flow at its natural pace with no demands. The posed
formal portraits are created in a minimal amount of time and in the
most natural way possible. Wedding photography does not have to lack
originality or distinction. Every Wedding is unique and I strive to
document each event with that in mind. Picture by picture, I will
tell your unique and intimate story.

~ Sports Photography Information ~
Sports photography is one of the few remaining pure forms of documentary photography. The moment happens and it is gone. You either capture it in an image or you don't. Unlike sports writers and television, still photographers don't have the luxury of instant replay.
At its best, great sports photography captures not only the tremendous skills and abilities of the athletes in action, but also the passions and emotions of those involved in the game. The best sports photojournalism also tells the story of what happened in the game.
Let me photograph your child in ‘Action’. I may use a second photographer when covering Sports. A second photographer will allow another point of view while your child is playing and will be able to capture moments different from the other photographer. There is always something going on at a sporting event and sometimes one photographer just cannot capture it all.
